Creating Change

An 8-Week Trauma Processing Group

A welcoming place to feel seen, discover you're not alone, and begin creating meaningful change—one reflection, one skill, and one step at a time.

Creating Change is a supportive, reflection-based program designed to help you better understand the lasting impact of trauma, develop practical skills for moving forward, and discover that you don't have to walk this journey alone.

You'll receive:

  • Eight live virtual sessions

  • A small, supportive community (6–8 participants)

  • Weekly resources and reflection exercises

  • A mailed Creating Change Welcome Kit

  • Practical tools to continue using in your own healing journey

Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM

$40/week or $300 when paid in full

Healing can feel lonely, especially when it seems like no one truly understands what you've been through. Creating Change was designed to offer something many people never experience—a place to feel seen, understood, and less alone while learning alongside others who are also working toward healing.

There is never any expectation to share more than you're comfortable with. You are always welcome to participate in the way that feels right for you. Sometimes healing begins by listening. Sometimes it begins by typing in a chat box. Sometimes it begins by speaking. Showing up is enough.

Through this evidenced based program, you will engage in guided reflection to help gain a deeper understanding of how trauma has shaped your life while developing tools you can continue exploring long after the program ends. If you're already working with an individual therapist, Creating Change is designed to complement that work—not replace it.

What to Expect

Creating Change is designed to be a supportive, structured experience that combines education and guided reflection in a small, welcoming community.

Over the course of eight weeks, you'll participate in live virtual sessions that include topics on:

🌿 Trauma-informed education to help you better understand how trauma affects the brain, body, relationships, and daily life.

🌿 Guided reflection exercises designed to increase self-awareness and deepen your understanding of your own experiences.

🌿 Practical coping skills you can begin using immediately and continue practicing long after the program ends.

🌿 Gentle discussion and opportunities for connection with others who understand the challenges of healing from trauma.

🌿 Weekly resources and reflection activities available through Google Classroom to support your learning between sessions.

There is never any pressure to share your personal story. You are welcome to participate in the way that feels safest and most meaningful to you.

Your Creating Change Welcome Kit

Before our first session, you'll receive a Welcome Kit in the mail to help you begin your journey, including a journal just for this group.

The tools included in your welcome kit are designed to support your learning throughout the program and serve as reminders that healing often begins with small, intentional steps.

Creating Change may be a good fit if you:

  • Want to better understand the effects of trauma.

  • Are looking for practical tools to support your healing.

  • Appreciate learning alongside others in a small, supportive community.

  • Want a structured program that complements your individual therapy.

  • Value reflection, curiosity, and personal growth.

Creating Change may not be the best fit if:

  • You're currently experiencing a mental health crisis that requires a higher level of care.

  • You're looking for intensive trauma processing or individual psychotherapy.

  • You're hoping for an open discussion group without structured educational content.

An Investment in Your Healing

Creating Change is intentionally designed to be both accessible and sustainable. My goal is to provide a high-quality, evidence-informed program while making it possible for more people to access trauma-focused education and support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to share my personal story?

No.

There is never any expectation to share more than you're comfortable with. You are always welcome to participate in the way that feels safest for you. Listening, reflecting, and learning are valuable forms of participation.

Is Creating Change therapy?

Creating Change is a psychotherapy group. It is not a replacement for individual therapy or crisis services.

Can I participate if I already have a therapist?

Absolutely.

In fact, many participants may find that the insights and skills gained during Creating Change enhance the work they are already doing with their therapist.

What if I don't currently have a therapist?

You are welcome to participate whether or not you're currently in therapy.

If, during the screening process, it appears that individual therapy would better support your needs, I'll discuss that with you and help you explore appropriate options.

Is this the right fit for everyone?

Creating Change is designed for adults who are looking to better understand the impact of trauma and build practical skills for healing.

Because this is a structured educational program, it may not be appropriate for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis or those needing a higher level of care. We'll discuss this together during the consultation process.

What happens if I miss a session?

Because each week builds on the previous one, regular attendance is encouraged.

If you miss a session, you'll still have access to the weekly materials and resources through Google Classroom. Sessions are not recorded in order to protect participant privacy and confidentiality.

Is the program confidential?

Creating Change is committed to creating a respectful and supportive environment.

All participants agree to maintain the confidentiality of what is shared during group sessions. While confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in any group setting, establishing trust and protecting one another's privacy is an important part of the community agreements reviewed during the first session.

How are sessions held?

Sessions meet virtually using a secure video platform. You'll receive connection information and instructions before the first meeting, along with access to your Google Classroom resources.

What if I'm nervous about joining a group?

Feeling nervous is completely normal.

Many participants worry that they'll be expected to talk about painful experiences or share more than they want to. Creating Change is designed to move at a gentle pace, and you are always in control of your participation. There is no pressure to disclose your story. You are welcome exactly as you are.
